AT YOUR FIRST MEETING

Come prepared to introduce yourself to our chapter members.  You will have the opportunity to give a one minute commercial about your business and to describe the type of clients you need.  Please bring about 70 business cards.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT ?

The primary purpose of being a member of LeTip is to give and receive qualified business tips or leads.  Tips are regularly reviewed by each Chapter's Tip Master to insure they meet professional criteria and represent a real value to the receiver.

Potential new members come to the first two meetings and are permitted to give brief presentations about their product or service.  The chapter's Inspector then meets with the applicant at their business.  An inspection of the premises is performed and information on the application is verified.  At the third meeting, the current membership votes on the acceptance of the prospective member.

HOW DO I JOIN AND WHAT ARE THE COSTS ?

At your first meeting, you will be given an application to review and complete by your second meeting.  Once your business has been inspected and the current members have voted you in, you pay your initiation fee and dues and prepare to handle all of the new business that is about to come your way.

It will cost you only $325.00 for the National LeTip Organization initiation fee and $75.00 for the local chapter.  There are quarterly dues, currently $150.00 per quarter, used to cover our breakfast bill, printing, & administrative expenses. Annual renewals are $200.00.  All fees are subject to change without notice.

WHAT IS A TIP WITH EXAMPLES ?

A qualified business TIP is a company or person who is interested in a specific service or product and is expecting a call from a LeTip member. In Letip there are 3 types of TIPs.
(Also See:  Example of a Tip Page

Inside Tips:  Inside tips are completed upon payment of an invoice or money/goods changes hands.

Loretta goes to Billy’s hardware store and purchases some lawn and garden supplies.  She pays for the items at the cash register of Billy’s store.  Both individuals are members of the same Letip chapter.  The transaction has been completed and Loretta is able to tip Billy.

Cindy, the boat dealer, would like to purchase a new spa from George, the spa distributor.  Both individuals are members of the same Letip chapter.  Cindy talks with George about purchasing a spa (not a tip).  Three weeks after their initial conversation George installs a new spa at Cindy’s home.  Cindy receives an invoice for the spa and pays George for his services (This is a Tip now.)

Outside Tips:  Outside tips allows a member to make warm call to an individual who is not a member of Letip.

Bart, a member of Letip, is having lunch with Zach, a business associate.  Zach is interested in finding a dentist for his family.  Bart refers Zach to Amber, the dentist in Bart’s Letip chapter.  Bart gives Zach Amber’s business card and tells Zach he will have Amber call him.  Because Zach is prepared for a call, Amber will be contacting Zach with a warm call.  Bart has set the groundwork for Amber.  Bart has an outside tip to Amber.

Interchapter Tips:  Interchapter tips are leads or business conducted between members of two separate Letip chapters.

Bobby Jo needs cabinets for her new office.  Her Letip chapter does not have any one to perform this service.  However, another Letip chapter in the area has a cabinetmaker as a member.  Bobby Jo contacts that individual and her cabinets are made and installed in her new office.  She has an interchapter tip to the cabinetmaker.

Her partner Bobby Sue loves the new cabinet in Bobby Jo office and wants some in her new office.  Bobby Jo gives Bobby Sue the cabinetmakers card.  Similar to the outside tip above, the groundwork has been set for the cabinetmaker.  Therefore, Bobby Jo has an interchapter tip to the cabinetmaker for Bobby Sue’s cabinets.
